NRL 2022: Telstra gives big shots to support small businesses

Small businesses across Australia will have the chance to benefit from Telstra’s Big Plugs for Small Business campaign, which offers eligible businesses a chance to gain valuable exposure in Round 9 of the 2022 NRL Telstra Premiership.

Following a successful campaign in 2021 which saw small businesses across Australia recognized through premium advertising space, Telstra is once again offering the opportunity for businesses to gain visibility with increased visibility through signage in stadiums, in-game content and mentions throughout the broadcast.

The campaign also coincides with the launch of Telstra Plus Marketplace, which offers small and medium-sized businesses the opportunity to market to the more than four million members of Telstra Plus, Telstra’s customer loyalty programme.

Major prize winners from the Big Plugs for Small Business campaign will each earn an additional four million Telstra Plus points, while another 100 minor prize winners will receive 40,000 points to be used for their offers through the Telstra Plus Marketplace.

The National Rugby League prides itself on connecting players and small businesses, with many former players running their own, including Ryan Girdler (Girdler’s Grind), Jason Nightingale (Flow Expresso) and Chris Lawrence (One Wellbeing). Steve Menzies and Jeremy Latimore also run successful mortgage brokerage businesses, while current NRLW and NRL stars such as Chelsea Lenarduzzi, Corban Baxter and Damien Cook are also involved in their own small businesses across Australia.

Eligible businesses can visit telstra.com/bigplugs for full terms and conditions and entry details, with the competition ending at 11:59 p.m. AEDT on March 21, 2022.
